FEATURES The half automatic aperture setting with the thru-the-lens (TTL) exposure-meter provides the high accuracy of the film exposition. The parallaxless reflex viewfinder. Adjustable sharpness of eyepiece. The wide range of the filming frequency (8, 12, 16, 24, 32 and 48 frames per second). The half-automatic film loading into the film track simplifiers and make it faster to prepare the camera for the work. Film speed setting from 8 up to 250 ASA. Lens mount is M42 Pentax screw mount, it allows to use M42 lenses from well-spread 35mm SLR cameras. Spring motor-drive works without any battery, one cocking provide 5m film winding. Power source is 1 cell RZ-55, it can be changed by any modern cell with same dimensions. The camera was made at KMZ plant at Krasnogorsk in 1986.

is one of the most perfect cameras for the amateurs filming on the  16-mm color or black-and-white film.
The
Krasnogorsk-3
has been adopted by many film schools, including the University of Southern California's School of Cinema and Television.
Its low price, rugged construction and sophisticated optics have made it very popular with both beginning filmmakers and professionals.

It looks that this camera was
accurately used before
, and just stored during long time since 1990s.
Film transport was tested, battery compartment is clean, light meter pin moved when I powered the camera.
