Description
Girl’s black leather riding boots ca. 1925; these were owned by my mother who lived in southern Piedmont Virginia and Durham NC; she would have worn these when she was in her early teens in about 1925. I also have a red vest which I am listing separately. These were in storage until about 10 years ago when I found them in our attic! The boots are about 16 inches (40.6 cm) tall, 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) across at the top; the sole and heel from heel to toe measures about 10 inches (25.4 cm); the sole is just over 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide at the widest part. No size is given, and no indication of the name or place of manufacture. Sorry no international shipping. The left boot has a split where the sole meets the rest of the boot (see photos). There is also some wear and separation where the inner soft leather meets the outer leather at the tops of the boots. The leather straps that would buckle around the calf are intact with buckles! Other than removing surface dust with a damp cloth, I have made no attempt to clean or oil the boots. See photos for more information on condition.
